Dana White: ‘If Nick Diaz wants to come out and fight Brown, I'll do that fight’

USA TODAY Sports

UFC President Dana White revealed on UFC Tonight that he would schedule a Matt Brown vs Nick Diaz match-up if the Stockton native is interested.

While Dana White is not even considering Nate Diaz's request to fight Matt Brown, he is certainly interested in slotting the lightweight's older brother Nick against ‘The Immortal.'

White went on UFC Tonight and stated that Nate's request to fight Brown "doesn't make sense" considering the weight difference and Diaz's two-fight losing streak.

"There's no way in the world," said White. "That fight has not been talked about. It's not even close. We never even considered that fight.  Nate Diaz did say he was interested in that fight, but that fight doesn't make sense. He's fighting at '55. He's lost two of his last three fights, and Brown is on this unbelievable roll. Brown is a welterweight and has been fighting there for a long time, and is deserved a top contender."

Although he showed no interest in Nate's request, the UFC President did mention that he would agree to a Nick Diaz vs Matt Brown match-up if he was considering a return to the octagon.

"Listen," White added, "If Nick Diaz wants to come out and fight Brown, I'll do that fight."
