It wasn't quite as dramatic and brutal as the Matt Brown vs. Erick Silva main event, but the co-main event at UFC Fight Night Cincinnati between Constantinous Philippou and Lorenz Larken delivered some serious mayhem. Philippou needed the win badly and dug deep to walk through Lorenz Larkin's hurtful multi-punch combos to deliver a finishing blow of his own that put Larkin out for the count.
Here's how our own Tim Burke described the action:
Both men land a left at the same time. Philippou with a body shot and a leg kick. Leg kick from Larkin. They clinched up against the cage. Philippou with some foot stomps. Solid right hook and an uppercut from Larkin. Big body kick from Larkin, and another. Philippou scored with a big left but Larkin fired right back. Phillipou with another left, and they clinched up. A left hook scored for Philippou and he dropped Larkin with a right! He's out! What a shot.
