Top Prospects to Watch this Weekend

Here are some of the better prospects in action this weekend.

Superior Challenge - 3 May - Helsingborg, Sweden

HW

Yosef Ali Mohammad (3-1) vs. Christian Golcic (3-1)

Age:

Height: 6'6

One of my favorite HW prospects, I think he has a ton of potential if he can maximize his athletic ability. Mohammad has finished all three of his victories inside of 1:25 in the first round. His only loss was to recent UFC signee Viktor Pesta, a fight that was originally awarded to Mohammad, but reversed by the commission. In addition to his powerful striking, he was also the Swedish ADCC champion, for what that is worth. With another impressive showing here, I wouldn't be surprised to see UFC take a chance on him, especially with a potential show coming up in his native Sweden.

Mohammad vs. Sokol

Cage Warriors FC - 3 May - Liverpool, England

WW

Danny Roberts (10-1) vs. Jim Wallhead (25-8)

Age: 26

Height: 6'1

Roberts has a boxing background, and has integrated powerful leg kicks to complement his good jab. His natural athletic ability has allowed him to develop solid takedowns of his own that keep his opponents off balance. Wallhead will be a tough test, and could be his final test before one of the big shows comes calling

Roberts vs. Fadipe

Gladiators of the Cage - 3 May - Johnstown, PA

MW

Chris Dempsey (8-1) vs. Nick Kraus (8-2)

Age: 26

Height: 5'11

Dempsey was a two time NCAA D2 All American wrestler at University of Pittsbugh-Johnstown, and transitioned to MMA with-in weeks of finishing his college career. He has won seven in a row.

Dempsey vs. Finch

Jungle Fight - 3 May - Itu, Sao Paulo, Brazil

FLW

Rayner Silva (5-1) vs. Nildo Nascimento (3-2)

Age:

Height: 5'5

Silva the current Jungle Fight Champion Silva will look to make his third title defense. He has powerful and accurate hands and has stopped his last three opponents with TKO due to punches.

Silva vs. Junior

West Coast Fighting Championships - 26 Apr - Sacramento, CA

MW

Dominic Pica (3-0) used a 3rd round RNC to submit Jordan Powell (3-2)

Xtreme Fighting Championships - 26 Apr - Sao Paulo, Brazil

STW

Kalindra Faria (15-3-1) scored a UD victory Sanja Sucevic (4-3) to run her win streak to 11.

I'm not perfect, if I've missed a prospect let me know in the comments section.
