The Emperor is dead. Long live the Emperor. In our third Elite 8 fight, #2 seed Fedor Emelianenko, the man chosen by you the Bloody Elbow readers as MMA's Greatest Fighter of All Time, was defeated. The dragon slayer this time was #1 Shinya Aoki. With that win, Aoki moves into the final 4 and a JMMA dream fight against Kazushi Sakuraba.
Today the last Final 4 participant is named. Will it be #1 seed Frank Mir, who has effortlessly blown through the competition so far? Or will it be #7 seed Matt Hughes, this tournament's Cinderella Man? Hughes has already taken out a #2 seed, and in a brutal battle, a #3 seed. Can he do the unthinkable and topple this #1? Your votes will decide.
