I’m sure 99.9999 % of MMA fans will be watching Jones/Glover instead of Faria’s fight with Sanja Sucevic. Nonetheless, Faria vs. Sucevic goes down tomorrow night April 26th and will be streamed live and free on XFCMMA.com at

Faria dropped down to 115 (she was already an accomplished flyweight, reaching the top 10) on May 15th, taking a unanimous decision win. Next, she hit a round 2 rear naked choke weeks later, and now she faces a good step up in competition, the highly underrated Sanja Sucevic.
Sanja, the Serbian, is most known for debuting in Indian promotion, Super Fight League, with a surprise submission of then undefeated Lena Ovchynnikova. Her last fight was against the ridiculously much larger, Colleen Schnieder, where she was able to fight back countless times. She makes the drop down to 115lbs and is a great test for Kalindra Faria.
Sucevic has shown she can grapple and strike, actively searches for the finish and can survive when put on the defensive. Both fighters would be fine additions to the Invicta/UFC strawweight world, and this has the makings of a back and forth fight.
Faria is riding a 10 fight winning streak, while Sucevic is on a 1-fight losing streak and has not fought in over a year. Faria is in pretty good company with her win over Carina Damm joining the likes of Cat Zingano, Jessica Eye and Munah Holland. I have her as the 24th best strawweight and the 16th best outside of the UFC (TUF contestants).
Faria (right) clowns an ultra-serious Carina Damm
