Cris Cyborg Santos responds to Dana White and 'paper champion' Ronda Rousey

Cris Cyborg Santos responds to Dana White's remarks of her looking like Wanderlei Silva and takes a few shots at 'paper champion' Ronda Rousey.

Cris Cyborg has responded via MMAFighting's Guillherme Cruz to Ronda Rousey calling her an "it", Dana White backing Ronda up as well as adding that Cyborg looks like Wanderlei Silva (which included an impression).

Looking like Wanderlei Silva

I thought the comparison was funny. I’m a big fan of Wanderlei Silva, he’s a big international idol.

Ronda not being fined or punished

I’m not surprised (she wasn’t punished) because she’s UFC’s paper champion. They obviously would never punish her, even because her opponents are handpicked.

I always admired Dana White as a great businessman that always believed in MMA and helped our sport to grow around the world. And I’m sure that, with the power he has, he would never go against his paper champion.

The only thing I want to touch on is the handpicked comment. I agree, Ronda's opponents have been handpicked. However, it shouldn't take away from Ronda's performances.

In the end, she still fought everyone she's suppose to. Maybe the order should have been different, but regardless she's fought the best the bantamweight division has to offer and obliterated all of them. The girl everyone has been saying deserves Rousey since Cat Zingano got injured, well, Alexis Davis is getting the next shot. Not to mention Ronda defeated two featherweights that would be ranked (between 2-4 in the world) earlier in her career, Julia Budd and Ediane Gomes.

Her opponents in the UFC were handpicked, but don't for a second think that Rousey hasn't fought all the best fighters at 135lbs. Miesha Tate after she beat Marloes Coenen. Sarah Kaufman, former champion, who had just beaten Alexis Davis. Sara McMann, Liz Carmouche, and soon to be Alexis Davis. Cat Zingano got injured. Cris Cyborg still needs to prove she can make 135lbs.
