BE's Baddest Greatest Submission Fighter Tournament: #1 Kazushi Sakuraba vs #3 B.J. Penn

June M. Williams

Vote now in the Bloody Elbow Baddest Tournament to determine the Greatest MMA Submission Fighter of All Time. Today's match-up: #1 Kazushi Sakuraba vs. #3 B.J. Penn. Vote now!

Our first Elite 8 match-up is done, and our first #1 seed is out. The #1 ranked Demian Maia had the misfortune of coming up against the red-hot Fabricio Werdum. The #2 seeded Werdum had little difficulty taking out the top seed, winning by a wide margin of 62-29. With that, Werdum makes his way to the Final 4 where he awaits the winner of Matt Hughes vs. Frank Mir.

Today, our 2nd Final 4 spot is up for grabs, and our second #1 seed makes his bid. This time, it's the #1 seeded Kazushi Sakuraba in action. He takes on current Ultimate Fighter coach and #3 tournament seed B.J. Penn. Penn is coming off an upset win over Big Nog in the last round, while Sakuraba has stormed through Frank Shamrock and Rickson Gracie. Can the Gracie Killer do it again, or will the Prodigy be too much? You make the call.
