Khabib Nurmagomedov is looking to secure either a title shot or a marquee match-up in his next octagon outing.
"The Eagle" picked up arguably the biggest win of his UFC career when he defeated Rafael dos Anjos via unanimous decision at UFC on FOX 11 last weekend. The Dagestan native dominated the entire contest with surprising ease, picked up his sixth straight win in the UFC, and extended his undefeated streak to an impressive 22-0.
Having dispatched some stiff competition during his UFC run, Khabib told MMABoxing.ru that he hopes he has done enough to warrant a title shot. If not, he expects his next fight to take place in the fall.
"If they do not announce me as the next challenger for the title, then my next fight will likely take place in the autumn."
"I do not know who my opponent will be. I will eventually get them all. If the situation will develop in this way, then I would gladly take a fight against Donald Cerrone, Nate Diaz or TJ Grant, but the last word is for the UFC."
It will be interesting to see who the UFC selects for Nurmagomedov, as he has proven to be a legitimate force in the lightweight division.
