UFC on Fox 11 post-event bonuses: Thiago Alves wins FOTN in first fight after two-year layoff

David Manning-USA TODAY Sports

Donald Cerrone and Alex White win performance bonuses, while Alves vs. Bacynski wins FOTN.

The UFC ended a streak of three events in eight days on Saturday night with the 11th edition of the UFC on FOX series. The event was headlined by a heavyweight collision between Brazil's Fabricio Werdum and Travis Browne, but there were several other fantastic performances on the card.

After over two years on the sidelines, former UFC welterweight title contender Thiago Alves made a successful return to the octagon, where he defeated a very game Seth Baczynski via unanimous decision. The characteristic Alves leg kicks were on full display on Saturday night, as the Brazilian peppered Seth repeatedly throughout the fight, and even earned ‘Fight of the Night' honors for the effort.

Donald Cerrone put on a vintage performance in Orlando, as he finished touted Brazilian striker Edson Barboza via rear-naked choke in the opening round of their feature fight. "Cowboy" was being thoroughly outperformed throughout the majority of the opening round, but ultimately caught Barboza with a subtle jab that dropped the Brazilian. Cerrone would then pounce on his opponent to pick up his 15th career submission victory. This will also be his 9th bonus in 13 UFC appearances.

The debuting Alex White earned the second performance of the night bonus for his spectacular KO of Estevan Payan in the opening round of their preliminary contest. White caught Payan and continued to furiously pound on him against the cage until referee Jorge Ortiz mercifully stepped in to stop the contest.

The list of bonuses awarded is available below:
