US Open Wrestling Semifinals live on Universal Sports at 10 pm, live thread

USA Wrestling

Universal Sports will televise the semifinals of the US Open Wrestling Championships live at 9 (EST) tonight (April 18, 2014). Bloody Elbow brings you a live discussion.

Tonight, at 10 pm, we can all gather around and watch the semifinals of the Asics United States Open Wrestling Championships, better known in wrestling circles as "The Open".

If golf has four majors, American Olympic-style wrestling has two: the Open, and the Trials. The Open constitutes the second most important annual wrestling tournament in the United States, and tonight, live from Las Vegas, we can watch the semi finals of this prestigious tournament in their entirety.

Semifinals will take place in three wrestling styles, with eight weight classes per style; across men's freestyle, women's freestyle and Greco-Roman, twenty four matches will air altogether. Of note, in freestyle, all four 2012 Olympic medalists in freestyle wrestling will appear, including gold medalists Jordan Burroughs and Jake Varner.

Thanks to the good folks at USA Wrestling, we have the semi final match ups:
