The TUF Nations Finale main event featured middleweights Michael Bisping and Tim Kennedy in a contest that can arguably be described as relatively lackluster. Kennedy would pick up the upset win after a five round battle, that would earn him a unanimous decision on the judges scorecards.
Kennedy controlled a significant portion of the fight with his effective ground game, which stifled Bisping's offensive onslaught and ultimately cost the Briton a lopsided decision.
The former Strikeforce title contender is now 3-0 since joining the UFC roster and now holds a win over the No. 5 ranked middleweight, which should propel him into bigger fights in the future.
After the decision was announced, Bisping approached Kennedy during his post-fight interview with Jon Anik and announced his respect for the American and attempted to squash the beef between them. This was then followed up with an awkward handshake and fist bump.
