Manny Pacquiao defeats Tim Bradley by unanimous decision (116-112 x 2, 118-110).
The hype for this fight was greater than for the first one, and the fans were not disappointed. Bradley was unexpectedly aggressive in the early stages, taking some early rounds from Pacquiao with vicious body shots and wild counter rights to the head. Bradley even managed to wobble Pacquiao in the fourth round.
Pacquiao, however, showed his guile and came back in the middle and later rounds. Despite Tim's early investment in body shots, it was Bradley himself who paid the price for that wild pace in the first five rounds, as he slowed considerably in the late stage of the fight.
Bradley tried to game the fans and the judges the same way he did to Marquez, utilizing his incredible defensive head movement and clowning antics. When Pacquiao missed he missed big, but Pacquiao landed big too. Bradley told Max Kellerman that he had injured his calf after the fight, to mass boos from the heavily pro-Pac crowd, but nothing can soil this fight. The only question after this entertaining war is... when's the rubber match?
