Although Tyrone Spong is currently in Istanbul, where he is set to take part in the Glory 15 light-heavyweight tournament to crown the promotion's inaugural champ, he managed to find the time to update his fans on his future plans in MMA.
Spong, who spoke with Bloodyelbow.com's Fraser Coffeen, expressed interest in potentially joining the UFC should he commit to MMA 100 percent.
"If eventually I fully commit to only MMA, of course I want to be in the UFC because that's the highest league out there." Spong told Bloody Elbow. "But for now WSOF is treating me very well."
Spong went on to explain that he is "satisfied" with the treatment he has been given since joining the World Series of Fighting "family."
"They're putting on great shows, great fight cards, they're doing good numbers now. They're getting bigger and better every show so I'm satisfied with them, and they treat me very well. It's a big family and Ray Sefo and Ali [Abdel-Aziz] treat everyone well. "
While he is happy with his career at this stage, he admitted that if he ever took the decision to fully commit to MMA, he would want to be in the UFC.
"If I commit to MMA? Yes, I want to be in the UFC." he added.
Glory 15 takes place Saturday April 12 at the Ulker Sports Arena, Istanbul, Turkey.
