Roland Delorme vs. Davey Grant bout cancelled at the last minute

USA TODAY Sports

One of the prelim bouts for Saturday's UFC Fight Night card has been cancelled shortly after the weigh ins.

UFC Fight Night: Gustafsson vs. Manuwa was all set to feature 10 bouts on Saturday, March 7th. All the fighters were on weight and the everything seemed to be smooth sailing heading in to the event... At lest for a couple of hours. The UFC announced via Twitter the the evening's third scheduled prelim bout between Davey Grant and Roland Delorme has been cancelled.

As of yet, no reason has been given for the fight's cancellation. Given it's proximity to the weigh ins, it's not unlikely that this is the result of a problem with the weight cutting process. Bloody Elbow will be sure to keep you updated as soon as more information is available, so be sure to stay tuned.

UFC Fight Night 37 is scheduled to start at 12:30pm Eastern, 9:30am Pacific on Fight Pass, but I wouldn't be surpised if it's bumped back 15-30 minutes now that the card has been dropped down to 9 fights.

UPDATE: According to MMAFighting, Grant suffered a knee injury in training and underwent an MRI to find out the extent of the damage. The results of that test came back on Friday and revealed that the injury was too severe to allow him to compete.
