The main event featured a light heavyweight fight between former title contender Alexander Gustafsson and Jimi Manuwa. With a win, Gustafsson was expected to get a second crack at champ Jon Jones. In the co-main event, lightweight Melvin Guillard returned to the cage to battle TUF veteran Michael Johnson. The flyweight division rounded out the card as Brad Pickett took on Neil Seery and Gunnar Nelson kicked off the main card in a welterweight fight against Omari Akhmedov.
