UFC Fight Night 39: Nogueira vs. Nelson fight card

USA TODAY Sports

A look at the UFC's first event in Abu Dhabi since 2010, as Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira battles Roy Nelson in a five-round main event.

You may have noticed during the TUF China Finale hat the UFC's advertised Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira vs. Roy Nelson as an "epic match-up". Let's be real here - it's not; they have to say that because it's natural to promote a product beyond what it actually is.

That aside, "Big Nog" is fighting "Big Country" on April 11th (a Friday!) in Abu Dhabi, marking the UFC's first show there since UFC 112 in 2010. This obviously isn't a PPV caliber card, it's airing exclusively on Fight Pass, but that doesn't mean it's lacking good match-ups. Tatsuya Kawajiri fights Clay Guida in the co-main event, John Howard meets prospect Ryan LaFlare, and Rani Yahya drops to 135 (again) to take on Johnny Bedford.

Here's the full lineup, although the main card and prelims order has yet to be sorted:

Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira vs. Roy Nelson
Clay Guida vs. Tatsuya Kawajiri
John Howard vs. Ryan LaFlare
Thales Leites vs. Trevor Smith
Ramsey Nijem vs. Beneil Dariush
Chris Camozzi vs. Andrew Craig
Rani Yahya vs. Johnny Bedford
Alptekin Ozkilic vs. Dustin Ortiz
Alan Omer vs. Jim Alers
Jared Rosholt vs. Daniel Omielanczuk
