Cain Velasquez on shoulder rehab, eyes November return

UFC heavyweight champion Cain Velasquez addresses his recovery following his second shoulder surgery.

In a recent interview (in both Spanish and English), Cain Velasquez addressed his recovery process following a December shoulder surgery to repair a torn labrum in his left shoulder.

On his rehabilitation progress, Cain notes "I'm toward the end of my rehab now. More so starting to try to get that strength back instead of the motion. Still can't train yet, hopefully pretty soon the doctor will clear me to start doing some stuff." Regarding his return to the Octagon, he thinks that "November sounds good", given that there is talk of a November card in Mexico.

When asked if he has concerns about a lingering problem with his shoulder later in his career, Cain responded "No. I've been here before, with the other shoulder surgery that I've had three years ago. It's fine now... It'll be fine. I'm doing what I need to do to get it better."

Cain last defended his heavyweight title in October 2013 at UFC 166, defeating Junior dos Santos.
