First I got to say Bjorn made the right call putting this fight on ppv as the co-main event on the Chandler/Alvarez 3 card, the winner will face the winner of the Vegh vs Newton fight. Two of Bellator's elite going toe 2 toe this is a fight for the ages, without a doubt this fight has the potential to be a FOTY nominee the fans are in for a real treat. Rampage is coming off a devistating ko victory over M'Pumbu finishing him with his vicious GNP and Mo is coming off a well fought, smart, decision victory over Zaytas.
When Bellator 110 was over these two guys had a huge altercation during Rampage's post fight victory speech it took a whole octagon full of people to keep these two gladiators away from each other. Here are a couple of statements from Rampage and Mo.
Statement from Rampage.
"I’ve been wanting to come back to Memphis for the last decade, and I’m finally getting that chance to fight in one of the biggest fights of my career for Bellator," Jackson stated. "After being part of the Bellator family for a while now, I feel like the old ‘Rampage,’ and that’s not a good thing for Mo. I’m back, I’m a monster, and I’m looking to put on another entertaining fight for all my fans on May 17."
Statement from Mo
"When it comes down to it, this is a fight I’ve wanted for a long time, and I’m going to be able to beat his ass in his hometown, and everyone is going to respect me. Rampage is just a stepping stone in my way to get that title shot again and get that belt. It’s all I want, and after I beat Rampage, I’m going for that belt, simple as that."
I don't know about anybody else but I have no idea who to choose to win this fight they both are just so evenly matched. Rampage and Mo both have big power, strong wrestling, and good boxing so it kinda hard to make a prediction. At the end of the day the fans are the winners of this amazing fight on the 17th of May. This fight is gonna be huge and once again I got to give Bjorn props for making this the co-main event this is going to really help Bellator achieve a lot in the future. The only bad thing about this fight imo is that I ride with Rampage and Mo and im a fan of both but one of them have to lose but at the end Of the day I will happy to have witnessed this fight on ppv when I buy it. May 17th will be Bellator's first ppv I hope it does well and I'm looking foward to it history will be made.
