Lyoto Machida and Gegard Mousasi were both at 205 lbs this time last year. Next week they'll be facing off in a massive middleweight bout with likely title implications on the line. Mousasi has fought in the weight class before, but Machida's debut at 185 came in October when he KO'd Mark Munoz with a head kick at UFC Fight Night in London. The UFC Fight Night 36 co-main event has BJJ standout Ronaldo Souza against Francis Carmont, and so far "Jacare" has looked nothing short of superb in his two UFC fights.
Welterweight Erick Silva makes his return against Japan's Takenori Sato, who is a massive underdog and opened as a four-digit underdog. The prelims include Yuri Alcantara versus Wilson Reis, Felipe Arantes/Maximo Blanco, and welterweight prospect Albert Tumenov against Ildemar Alcantara.
Due to live NASCAR coverage, the main card start time is later than your typical PPV broadcast. Fox Sports 1 will air the 3 hour broadcast live at 10:30 PM ET/7:30 PM PT, and that's good for 1:30 AM local time in Jaragua do Sul. Given the typical pacing of free shows, just be prepared to stay up until Sunday morning sunrise before the main event starts.
Here is the full bout order, with main card no FS1 and prelims on Fight Pass (still under the Free Trial period):
