UFC Fight Night 37: Gustafsson vs. Manuwa fight card

Tom Szczerbowski-USA TODAY Sport

A look at the March 8th UFC Fight Pass card in London, as Alexander Gustafsson fights Jimi Manuwa in a five-round main event.

We've just over two months away from recent light heavyweight title challenger Alexander Gustafsson returning to action, as he faces England's Jimi Manuwa in London. It's a big opportunity for Manuwa to raise his stock in a thin division, but it's also important for Gustafsson to win and keep the plans for a rematch with Jon Jones in the picture this year.

This card is pretty solid for a Fight Pass show, if you ask me. Michael Johnson is in for the injured Ross Pearson, and he'll be in the co-main event against Melvin Guillard. Brad Pickett drops to flyweight for a key bout against Ian McCall, while the main card is opened up by Gunnar Nelson versus Omari Akhmedov.

Lest we forget Ilir Latifi is back, and he's fighting Cyrille Diabate in the headlining prelim bout. Certainly a far cry from fighting Gegard Mousasi in a main event on less than a week's notice.

Here's the whole lineup, which airs on UFC Fight Pass, and by then the free trial will have ended and you'd be on a paid subscription:

Main Card (3 PM ET)

Alexander Gustafsson vs. Jimi Manuwa
Michael Johnson vs. Melvin Guillard
Brad Pickett vs. Ian McCall
Gunnar Nelson vs. Omari Akhmedov

Preliminary Card (12:30 PM ET)

Cyrille Diabate vs. Ilir Latifi
Luke Barnatt vs. Mats Nilsson
Brad Scott vs. Claudio Silva
Davey Grant vs. Roland Delorme
Igor Araujo vs. Danny Mitchell
Phil Harris vs. Louis Gaudinot
