Next week marks the premiere of The Ultimate Fighter: Nations, which airs on Fox Sports 1 immediately following UFC FIght Night 35. The season finale is reportedly targeted for Quebec City, Quebec on April 16th (per MMA Fighting), and according to Foxsports.com, the first fight set for the card is between bantamweights Mitch Gagnon and TUF 18's Tim Gorman.
Gagnon (10-2) dropped his UFC debut to Bryan Caraway in UFC 149's "Fight of the Night" in July 2012. The Canadian has since picked up two impressive wins, finishing Walel Watson in just over a minute at UFC 152, and most recently choking Dustin Kimura out unconscious with a guillotine choke at UFC 165. The win over Kimura netted him a "Submission of the Night" bonus.
Gorman (8-2) TKO'd Lee Sandmeier to quality for the TUF 18 house, but his fortunes took a massive turn for the worse when it was revealed he had suffered a torn hamstring. While he was willing to fight on essentially one working leg, he was forced off the show and replaced by Louis Fisette. Gorman was still granted a UFC contract, making him one of only 3 men's bantamweights from the show to receive one (finalists Chris Holdsworth and David Grant were the others).
