While watching the UFC's fight pass promo video on their sight, I got the feeling that this was another typical serving of just bleed highlights mixed in with some spinning shit.
And then the announcer said it. "Also featuring bouts from the UFC's dark ages…". This curious line was then followed by a clip that left me with one of those "Well would ya look at that" moments. Before my eyes, on the UFC's official web page, Frank Shamrock was beating the snot out of Tito Ortiz. The clip ran a solid ten seconds, even showing that Frank succeeded in getting the tko.
The UFC has previously made it a bit of a point to utter Frank's name pretty much never. Like at all. To see that they are finally getting over that stigma with fight pass and airing at least one of Frank's fights (a bout that should have DEFINITELY been included in the UFC's 100 greatest fights collection in my opinion) is a pleasant surprise. Just thought the community should be notified of such an interesting move on the part of Zuffa. heres the link if you want to catch the lifting of revisionist history!
