is the Bobby Fischer of MMA. Bobby Fischer was the chess genius who single-handedly brought chess to the forefront of main street America in 1972 by winning the world chess championship, only to later have much of those gains eclipsed by his vulgar tirades and childish behavior.
And like Fischer, for everything Dana White has done to build the sport of MMA, he does an equal amount of damage by detracting from it. From his infantile behavior to his potty mouth, Dana diminishes the image of MMA as a legitimate sport by attacking fighting greats like Randy Couture
, the Shamrock brothers, Tito Ortiz
, and more recently Jon Jones
and George St. Pierre.
"If he wants to talk man to man, he can see us face to face," White said about George St. Pierre. We constantly hear Dana carrying on as if he were some sort of a bad-ass fighter himself. It’s pretty obvious he wishes he could be.
The truth is Dana wouldn’t measure up to more than a pimple on any of these fighter’s asses. Since he can’t be professional, he would serve the sport better by keeping his face out of the spotlight.
