Lucas Martins motivated by Bryan Caraway's 'knock (Ronda's) teeth down her throat' comments

USA TODAY Sports

Lucas Martins is motivated to knock out Bryan Caraway after his less than flattering comments toward Ronda Rousey.

Almost a year ago, Bryan Caraway drew the dislike of many men and women for his poor choice of words towards Ronda Rousey, rival of his girlfriend, Miesha Tate. Stating on Twitter:

I'll knock her teeth dwn (sic) her throat the (sic) break her arm!

Lucas 'Mineiro' Martins, his next opponent, isn't taking too kindly to these comments as he told MMAFighting.com:

"Beating a woman is wrong, so that’s another thing that will motivate me to get there and beat his ass. He will learn to get beat up by a man. Who beats a woman needs to get beat up by a man, so he will get beat up by me now.

...I will defend the takedowns and beat him up. I know he will go down as soon as I put my hand on him. I will knock him out in the first round."

This will be Martins first time in 15 fights not fighting in Brazil. He is coming off two finishes after getting overwhelmed by Edson Barboza in his debut. Caraway is fresh off a submission of the night win, after Pat Healy unfortunately fell to the ludicrous "weed is a PED" rules.

Martins and Caraway fight on the Fox Sports 1 prelims at UFC 170. And surprise, surprise. Guess who is headlining? Ronda Rousey.
