UFC lightweight Thiago Tavares will make his return from a bad loss and a steroid suspension at UFC Fight Night 32 in Brazil in November. And his opponent will be looking for his first victory inside the octagon, at a new weight class to boot. MMA Fighting has the news:
Thiago Tavares returns to the Octagon to meet Quinn Mulhern at UFC Fight Night 32 on Nov. 9 in Goiania, Brazil. Sources close to the UFC confirmed the match-up to MMA Fighting on Monday.
Tavares ( 17-5-1) had a two-fight winning streak stopped at the hands of Khabib Nurmagomedov in January, and his nine-month suspension for Drostanolone just came up. The Brazilian is 7-5-1 in 13 trips to the octagon overall. Mulhern (18-3) made his UFC debut in March, getting stopped by Rick Story early. He decided to drop to 155 and was scheduled to meet Ryan Couture, but bowed out due to an injury and was subsequently re-booked here.
