It’s no secret that Mixed Martial Arts has exploded on the scene ever since Forrest Griffin and Stephan Bonnar waged war at The Ultimate Fighter 1 finale. Since then, it has taken over our TV screens, billboards in Time Square, the cover of magazines, action figures, video games, clothing; it’s a universal beast that can’t be tamed.

However, like any good thing, you know you made it to the limelight when you become a target of a spoof. That brings us to the one and only Tommy Toe Hold. Tommy is a YouTube sensation known for taking some of the toughest men on the planet and making them nothing but a punch line. You can check out his YouTube page here!

Is Anyone Safe from Tommy’s Wrath?

Simply put: no, not a single soul is safe from Tommy Toe Hold! Every video he has posted on YouTube has thousands upon thousands of views, and countless likes. I find myself laughing hysterically every time I click play on one of his uploads. In fact, I’m watching one right now and he’s riffing away on Georges St. Pierre and The Diaz Brothers. My face hurts from laughing so much!

Tommy pulls no punches but not in an insulting way. Well, I mean, sure it can be insulting only if the fighter takes it in such a manner! Those who don’t take themselves so seriously must laugh as much as everyone else does when they watch it.

In fact, noted fighters such as Pat Barry have openly applauded Tommy Toe Hold for his work and have nothing but great things to say about the YouTube goofball.

Why Am I Blogging About Tommy Toe Hold?

Tommy Toe Hold RANTS about Dan Faggella's Leg Locks! (via Daniel Faggella)

Outside of my admiration and fandom of the great Tommy Toe Hold, there’s a reason as to why I’m singing his praises when I normally focus on technique based videos and fighter profiles.

Tommy took time out of his day not to long ago to give me a quick shout out for my Heel Hook Secrets DVD! He’s normally busy clowning people like Ronda Rousey and Anderson Silva, but made time to promote a product of mine!

Needless to say, I was taken back when I got word he did this. It’s a quick video, spanning about minute in length, but it’s chalk full of laughs. The highlight of the video—for me, at least—was when he called me a ‘Man Child.’ How hilarious is it that Tommy Toe Hold dubbed me with such an awesome nickname?

Quite simply, it’s a great feeling in a few ways knowing someone like Tommy helped promote something that I worked extremely hard on. The DVD is a free, all you have to do is pay the $1 shipping and it’s yours! This was something in which I worked very hard on and hope that it improves your game.
