There will be two women's MMA bouts on November 6th in Fort Campbell, Kentucky as part of the UFC's 3rd "Fight For The Troops" event. Last night the UFC confirmed Brazil's Amanda Nunes will take on Dutch striker Germaine de Randamie:
Nunes (8-3) entered the UFC on the heels of a loss to Sarah D'Alelio in Invicta, her 2nd defeat in 3 fights. The 25-year-old took on Sheila Gaff at UFC 163 and used powerful ground-and-pound against Gaff to force the 1st round TKO stoppage.
"The Iron Lady" (4-2) is an accomplished kickboxer and Muay Thai specialist who made her UFC debut a successful one by defeating Julie Kedzie by split decision at UFC on Fox 8. De Randamie fought 3 times in Strikeforce, winning 3 of those fights with the lone loss coming against Julia Budd.
UFC Fight Night 31 is headlined by Lyoto Machida's middleweight debut against Tim Kennedy. Liz Carmouche and Alexis Davis are also scheduled for the main card, as well as Dennis Bermudez/Nik Lentz. The main and preliminary card will air on Fox Sports 1.
