We'll have coverage of all the matches, giving you the lowdown on what's happening at STAPLES Center in Los Angeles, along with results and discussion in the comments section.
WWE SummerSlam Live Results:
United States Championship: Dean Ambrose vs. Rob Van Dam
What went down: The rest of The Shield came down, but Big Show and Mark Henry came to RVD's aid to even the score. The match continued and Van Dam hit his signature Five Star Frog Splash, but Roman Reigns came flying in and speared Van Dam to end the match.
Winner: Rob Van Dam, by disqualification
Ring of Fire Match: Kane vs. Bray Wyatt
What went down: After seeing The Miz open the show, it's unfortunate he couldn't be involved in this match. The Wyatt Family, Luke Harper and Erick Rowan, are continually looking for a way into the ring, and finally find it by putting a fire retardant blanket over one side of the flames. They beat up Kane from there and Wyatt put him away. After the match, the Wyatt Family smashed Kane's head in the steel steps, presumably putting him out of action for a long time.
Winner: Bray Wyatt, by pinfall
Grudge Match: Cody Rhodes vs. Damien Sandow
What went down: BREAKING! Cody Rhodes has shaved his mustache! A great travesty. But he was able to overcome this and beat Sandow with the Cross Rhodes. Huge win for Rhodes over his former tag team partner.
Winner: Cody Rhodes, by pinfall
World Heavyweight Championship: Alberto Del Rio vs. Christian
What went down: Del Rio sporting some major facial injuries. Really black eye, bruised ear, possible facial laceration and a potential nose injury. According to wrestling insider Dave Meltzer, Del Rio was involved in a fight either last night or today. Nice back-and-forth match so far. Del Rio eventually locked in the armbar, but Christian stacked him up for at least a six count with Del Rio's shoulders pinned, but the referee completely ignored it. Del Rio then broke Christian's grip and forced the tap.
Winner: Alberto Del Rio, by submission, still World Heavyweight Champion
Grudge Match: Natalya vs. Brie Bella
What went down: Boooooo. Natalya wins with the Sharpshooter. Moving on.
Winner: Natalya, by submission
No Disqualification Grudge Match: CM Punk vs. Brock Lesnar
What went down: Lesnar immediately charges out of the gate with a big double leg takedown and then goes to work on the former WWE Champion. Punk, though, rebounds, and starts beating up Lesnar, not letting him breathe. But as Punk goes after Paul Heyman, Lesnar railroads him from behind and then absolutely chucks him over the Spanish announce table. This allows Lesnar to take over the match and he goes to work on Punk.
Punk, though, rallies, and hits some running knees and then a high kick that drops Lesnar. He goes up top for a flying elbow (well, that was the idea) and hits that for a two count. Punk goes for the GTS, but Lesnar slips out and locks in the kimura. Punk, though, steps over and locks in an armbar into a triangle choke. Lesnar rises and power bombs Punk, but Punk quickly recovers the choke. Lesnar again stands and tries it again and hits a running power bomb after fighting off some 12-to-6 elbows.
Lesnar with a tribute to Eddie Guerrero with the Three Amigos, which draws an "Eddie" chant. He saunters to the outside and grabs a chair, but as he takes his sweet time, Punk goes to the top, but Lesnar gets the chair up and it takes out both men. Punk up first and he grabs the chair and blasts Lesnar with it. Lesnar gets the chair, but Punk low blows him.
Punk grabs the chair and goes to the top rope and comes down and smashes the chair in Lesnar's face. He goes for more chair shots, but Heyman pulls the chair away. The distraction allows Lesnar to come up from behind and grab Punk, but Punk hangs on to Heyman's tie. This allows Punk to slip out and hit the GTS. Lesnar is out, but Heyman breaks it up with some punches. Punk gives some chase to Heyman, but Punk walks right into an F5, but he slips out and hits a DDT for two. Punk locks in the Anaconda Vice, but Heyman comes in with a chair and before he can get there, Punk breaks the hold and clocks Heyman before locks him in the Anaconda Vice. As he's doing this, Lesnar plasters him with the chair. Again. And again.
Lesnar hoists Punk up for the F5 and drops him right on the chair. That is all she wrote. Tremendous match.
Winner: Brock Lesnar, by pinfall
Mixed Tag Team Grudge Match: Dolph Ziggler & Kaitlyn vs. Big E Langston & AJ Lee
What went down: A decent little match, but nobody in the crowd cared, as this was in the cool-down spot between the two featured matches. Things picked up once Ziggler and Langston got involved, and it was Ziggler who put Langston away with the Zig Zag.
Winner: Dolph Ziggler & Kaitlyn, via pinfall.
WWE Championship: John Cena vs. Daniel Bryan
What went down: Cena's elbow hurting here. They go to the outside and battle it out there with Cena getting the better of it. Crowd soundly behind Bryan.
Bryan puts Cena in Cena's own hold, the STF. He hits some German suplexes and then counters the Attitude Adjustment into the Yes Lock right in the center of the ring. Cena escapes, but Bryan locks in a guillotine choke a la Chael Sonnen last night against Shogun Rua. Cena fights out and then hits the AA but Bryan kicks out. Cena goes to the top but Bryan cuts him off, only to shoved down — twice. He goes for a third time and kicks Cena hard. Bryan loads Cena up and hits a superplex, but he hangs on to the ropes and pulls himself up and hits the flying headbutt for two.
Bryan goes for a suicide dive but Cena gets his forearm up at the ropes. He goes to the top and hits the guillotine leg drop but Bryan kicks out at two. Now Cena loads Bryan up on the top rope and puts him on his shoulders, but Bryan elbows his way out. Bryan wants a hurricanrana, but Cena hangs on, drops down off the top and locks in the STF. Bryan tries to roll it over. He does, but Cena keeps it locked in. Bryan, though, counters out of it and locks in the Yes Lock, but Cena makes the ropes.
Both men up and trading blows. They hit the ropes and end up clonking heads and are both down. They get up and start engaging in a hard slap fight. Cena tries to hoist Bryan for the AA, but Bryan holds on and then DDTs Cena. Bryan goes to the top and goes for a crossbody, but Cena catches him, but Bryan counters again into a small package for two. Bryan kicks a kneeled Cena in the head and then absolutely levels him with a running knee and that does it! New champion!
Winner: Daniel Bryan, new WWE Champion
Confetti and streamers rain down from the rafters and fireworks go off on the stage. Bryan is celebrating when Randy Orton's music hits and he comes down with the Money in the Bank contract. Orton walks away, but as he does, Triple H swings Bryan around and gives him the Pedigree. Orton comes back to the ring and cashes in.
WWE Championship: Daniel Bryan vs. Randy Orton
What went down: Orton rolls Bryan over and pins him. Son of a gun.
Winner: Randy Orton, new WWE Champion
