Following his TKO loss to Junior Dos Santos at UFC 160, Mark Hunt revealed that he was suffering from a staph infection in his leg. It apparently occurred due to an infected hematoma for which he had multiple surgeries, leaving a gaping hole in his leg. One of the surgeries was a skin graft to try and close the wound, but it failed. Here is a nice aggregate of Tweets, pictures and videos from June showing the aftermath of the infection.

Hunt recently Tweeted a picture of his leg, showing the progress in healing at the two month point.

It appears to me that the wound is nearly healed, and should be fully healed by the end of August. We should watch for news that he has return to training, and hopefully news of his next fight will follow. Who should his next next opponent be?
