Edson Barboza's punishing leg kicks were too much for Rafaello Oliveira, who wilted under the pressure and lost via TKO in the second round of their UFC 162 lightweight fight.

Edson Barboza's leg kicks are something to be feared. The Brazilian became the first fighter two pick up two wins via leg kick stoppages when he chopped down Rafaello Oliveira in their UFC 162 bout. Barboza landed almost 30 of the leg kicks in the first round, and continued the assault in the second. Oliveira just couldn't get up after a while and the fight was stopped at the 1:44 mark.

As expected, Barboza landed a bunch of leg kicks early. He also landed a vicious kick to the body. Oliveira had two takedown attempts stuffed. Oliveira was having trouble closing the distance and ate some 20 leg kicks in the first three minutes. Oliveira was able to land some punches when Edson wanted to trade hands, but it was pretty much domination from Barboza over the first five minutes.

Barboza opened the second by catching a kick and dropping Oliveira with a punch. He left him up after that. Oliveira almost got a takedown but Edson squirmed away. Barboza chopped away with the leg kicks that had Oliveira going down every time. Finally after the fourth time, Oliveira didn't even attempt to get up and Herb Dean waived off the fight.

With the win, Barboza moved to 6-1 in the UFC and is on a two-fight winning streak. Oliveira has now dropped three out of four and might be on his way out of the organization.
