Fight my last MMA fight tonight. It's been fun but after 16 years I'm calling it good. Thanks to everyone who ever supported my career.— Aaron Riley (@aaronrileymma) July 28, 2013
Riley was 30-14-1 in his overall MMA career, including a KO win in Pride over Michihiro Omigawa, but was only 3-6 in the UFC. He began his career in Jeff Osbourne's HookNShoot promotion in the Mid-west where he fought a classic pair of bouts with Yves Edwards.
Riley was known for his grit and fearlessness. Unfortunately he was also known for suffering badly broken jaws in two UFC bouts against Robbie Lawler and Tony Ferguson.
The out of print Showdown DVD which chronicles Riley's 2 bouts with Edwards is highly recommended if you can track down a copy..
