Johny Hendricks: 'Hopefully I can make GSP exciting. That's my gameplan'

Johny Hendricks talks about his upcoming UFC 167 bout with Georges St. Pierre, claiming that he has had more success in Canada than GSP as well as saying he wants to "make GSP exciting."

Johny Hendricks is set to face UFC welterweight champ Georges St. Pierre at UFC 167 on November 16. The challenger spoke to MMAExposed for a recent video interview and fired a couple small shots at GSP ahead of the bout.

MMA Mania transcribes:

"I've had just as much success in Canada as he has. Actually more because I've finished people in Canada. If I fought him in Canada, I don't care where I fought him at. I'm happy it's gonna be in Vegas but it didn't matter where I fought him. I just want to fight him.... I just want to punch him, punch him in the freakin' face and see how it goes from there.... Hopefully I can make GSP exciting. That's my gameplan."

Hendricks' "just as much" or "more" success in Canada includes three UFC wins, a unanimous decision over Carlos Condit, a KO of Martin Kampmann and a majority decision over TJ Grant.

In his UFC run, GSP has five wins in Canada: decision wins over Nick Diaz, Carlos Condit, Jake Shields and Josh Koscheck as well as a TKO of Matt Serra.

UFC 167 will be GSP's first fight in Las Vegas since UFC 100 in July of 2009.
