UFC 163: Josh Koscheck injured, fight vs. Demian Maia cancelled

UFC Welterweight Josh Koscheck has been forced to pull out of his UFC 163 bout against Demian Maia due to injury. Because of the short notice, no opponent for Maia can be found and he is off the card too.

UFC 163 takes place on August 3 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil but unfortunately it will be taking place without two of its biggest names. Brazilian reporter Guilherme Cruz of Tatame tweeted the news:

No word on the seriousness of Koscheck's injury and when he might possibly be able to fight again. Bloody Elbow will update the story as it develops.
