The UFC on Fuel 10 middleweight bout between Ronny Markes and Derek Brunson is now off the card.

It looks like a car accident has taken out one of the preliminary card fights at UFC on Fuel 10 tomorrow in Brazil. Ronny Markes and Derek Brunson were supposed to meet in a middleweight matchup, but Markes was involved in a car accident. Ariel Helwani of MMA Fighting has the news:

The UFC on FUEL TV 10 middleweight fight was scrapped later in the day after Markes was determined unfit to fight, UFC president Dana White confirmed with MMAFighting.com.

According to White, Markes suffered a concussion in the car accident and also injured his back and neck.

White also confirmed that both fighters will receive their show money.

Markes (14-1) was 3-0 in the UFC and was looking for his fourth straight win against Brunson (10-2), who defeated Chris Leben by decision in his UFC debut.
