We knew that Ben Henderson was going to defend his lightweight belt against T.J. Grant next, but as of tonight we also know when and where the fight will take place. UFC Tonight confirms that Bendo/Grant has been chosen as the UFC 164 main event on August 31st:
It's a return to PPV for Henderson (19-2), whose fights against Nate Diaz and Gilbert Melendez were on FOX. Henderson dominated Diaz in December 2012 and then followed that up with a split decision over Melendez in San Jose on April 20th.
Grant (21-5) deservedly earned a title shot after knocking out Gray Maynard in just over 2 minutes at UFC 160. The Canadian is 5-0 at lightweight after a 3-3 UFC record at welterweight. TJ has consistently defied the betting odds at 155 lbs, having been the underdog in all but one of his fights in the weight class.
