Fighters pick UFC 162 main event between Anderson Silva and Chris Weidman

After Dana White claimed every fighter he'd spoken to was picking Chris Weidman to beat Anderson Silva, check out what the fighters themselves had to say.

Our friends over at MMA Interviews undertook the daunting task of speaking with a number of UFC fighters leading up to next weekend's fight for the middleweight strap at UFC 162. As Anderson Silva and Chris Weidman make their final preparations, the duty falls on us as spectators to make educated guesses as to what could possibly transpire.

Fighters are usually anything but impartial when picking fights but it's always interesting to hear their professional opinions. Still, fighters sometimes scramble their facts. For instance, in the course of picking Weidman to dethrone Silva, Brendan Schaub explains how Weidman's jiu jitsu black belt could likely be the deciding factor. The only problem? Weidman was still a purple belt at the beginning of June.

I'm just trying to look out for the degenerates. Can't take any chances in this economy. Leave the handicapping (and maybe Metamoris) to the pros, Brendan.

Aside from Schaub's trolling, see who Urijah Faber, Martin Kampmann, Joe Lauzon and others are picking to win it all.
