Mauricio "Shogun" Rua hasn't even really been known as much of a trash talker in his long MMA career. His UFC on Fox Sports 1 1 opponent Chael Sonnen though? I think we all know the answer to that. Sonnen has recently had a few things to say about Antonio Rogerio Nogueira, and spent a while trying to bait Wanderlei Silva into a bout on this card. Circumstances have led to a Shogun/Sonnen bout, and Chael hasn't said anything derogatory about Shogan at all - yet. In an interview with Tatame, Rua stated that he knows it's probably coming eventually, but it's not going to bother him:
"He disrespected Nogueira and Wanderlei. About me, he still said nothing. But disrespecting Wanderlei is enough. He is a controversial guy that really likes to talk a lot, but I'm cool. Sonnen will surely want to say something to me, but it does not affect me at all."
He also said that he still hopes to fight Antonio Rogerio Nogueira before the end of the year, and said that as long as TRT is legal, he has no problem with Sonnen being on it (but he personally has no use for it). He believes that Lyoto Machida is the favorite over Phil Davis at UFC 163, and that he should get a title shot with that win. Finally, he thinks Jon Jones will beat Alexander Gustafsson at UFC 165, but says that Gustafsson definitely has a chance.
