UFC lightweight champion Ben Henderson and former UFC heavyweight champion Josh Barnett have opened as favorites for their UFC 164 bouts with T.J. Grant and Frank Mir respectively, but the lines are already moving. Grant has actually received some early money on him, and Barnett has been all over the place. Here's a look at the lines right now (via BestFightOdds):
MMA Odds Breaker reports that 5Dimes dropped the Henderson/Grant line at -265/+185. As you can see, Grant is down to +167, and you can presently get Henderson in the -200 range. To me, that's a steal. I have chronically underrated Grant all the way through his lightweight rise, but I think Henderson's better at everything than him and getting him at -200 is an amazing price. In fact, I've already put some money down on it.
In the case of Barnett/Mir, the line opened with Barnett at -230 and Mir at +170. An apparent ton of money came in early on Barnett, pushing him all the way up to -380 at one point. That's one of the bigger lines moves I've seen in recent memory. As you can see though, things have swung in the other direction now and Barnett's back down to the -270 range. I personally believe that Barnett will win the bout, but I rarely bet against Mir because you just never know with that guy. If Barnett dropped back down around -210 or something I'd probably consider it. But not at -270.
