The fourth women's fight in UFC history went down at UFC 161, and it was good. Alexis Davis and Rosi Sexton went back and forth for the full fifteen minutes and it was Davis that earned the W on the judges cards. You can check out the video highlights above, and/or read my commentary of the final round below. Enjoy!
Round 3 - The boxing got a little sloppier as both ladies looked tired. Sexton did land a couple of left hooks though. Davis ducked a punch and went for a takedown, but Rosi ended up on top. Davis attacked a leg and took her back from the bottom though. Very slick. Body triangle for Davis. Davis landed a few punches. Sexton tried to roll into guard, and was successful. Rosi landed a few light strikes to the body and head to stay busy. Davis was pretty much stuck. Sexton stook up and took Davis' back. Davis spun away and jumped into Rosi's guard with 30 seconds to go. Sexton landed a good upkick late. Close fight. 10-9 Sexton there, but I have it 29-28 Davis overall.
