Well folks, it's happening. Having collected my thoughts and seen that 65% of you say you'd listen to a podcast hosted by me, your friendly neighborhood fight analyst, the ball is now rolling. Heavy Hands, the podcast for students of the fight game, is going to be a reality. And I'm psyched!
The thing is, I need your help. As it stands, I don't have the money to purchase the equipment for recording, and I'm not about to buy cheap stuff. I know there are few things more obnoxious than a podcast with good content but bad sound quality. With about $300 bucks I could get myself some quality equipment. With more I could really go all out on the audio gear, but $300 is about the minimum required.
There is a Kickstarter for my would-be podcast here: http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1520556656/heavy-hands-mma-podcast
You'll notice there are some small, mostly intangible, but hopefully tempting rewards for pledging certain amounts to the show. From having your name on the website to getting a free hypothetical T-shirt, to picking a topic of your choice for the show to cover. Please, if you're interested in enjoying this kind of content, head over to Kickstarter and donate.
Thanks very much, everybody! We'll have this thing off the ground in no time.
A final note: Please, folks, even if you aren't going to pledge, spread the word to your friends. You'll be doing me a huge service, even if you can't afford to contribute money of your own. Thanks again!
