Scott Holtzman def. John Mahlow via TKO (punches)

Scott Holtzman keeps his status as a prospect to watch with a two round mauling of John Mahlow, and takes the XFC lightweight title in the process. Mahlow looked to establish his grappling game early, but Hotlzman was able to shuck him off and open up his striking offense. The end came halfway through round two when holtzman was able to knockdown Mahlow with a kick and open up a cut on Mahlow's forhead. After a series of heavy shots the ref was forced to stop the fight. Hotlzman moves to 5-0 with the win.

Rickey Rainey def. Reggie Pena via TKO (punches)

In an ending that was reminiscent of Njokuani vs. Horodecki, Rainey put a one round beating on Reggie Pena. What started as some light ground and pound, ended as a series of brutal punches and as Pena looked to escape the mounting damage and walked straight into a head kick. With the win Rainey moves to 8-1.

Louis Santos def. Dave Courchaine via KO (head kick)

Long time journeyman, and WEC and Bellator vet Louis Santos recorded his 58th win and what is (I think) the fastest of his career with a one kick KO of Dave Courchaine. A series of followup punches sealed it, but it's clear that the bulk of the damage had already been done.

Eric Reynolds def. Kevin Forant via Submission (front choke)

23 fight veteran Eric Reynolds took on Kevin Forant, and while the fight ended with a standing arm triangle it also featured one of the clearer cases of "spiking" that you'll ever see in MMA. Of course as spiking has never, to my knowledge, been called as a foul, it wasn't here. Reynolds moves to 17-6 with the win and will get the next shot at the lightweight title. Forant drops to 5-1 with his first loss.

Cortney Casey def. Kelly Warren via Submission (RNC)

Former soccer player Cortney Casey made an impressive pro debut with a first round submission over Kelly Warren. She landed a hard punch early that appeared to do some damage and took over from there.

Deivison Ribeiro def. Shah Bobonis via Unanimous Decision

The rest of the night's results:

John Cofer def. Chad Livingston via Unanimous Decision
Nick Smith def. Ladarious Jackson via DQ (illegal knee)
Patrick Williams def. Gabe Maldonado via TKO (punches)
Jason Ignacek def. Ken Crowder via Submission (triangle choke)
Gilbert Burgos def. Jason Gladey via Unanimous Decision
