UFC 163: Aldo vs. Pettis fight card

USA TODAY Sports

A look at UFC 163 at the HSBC Arena in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil on August 3rd, as Jose Aldo fights Anthony Pettis for the featherweight title.

The UFC is returning to Rio de Janeiro, Brazil for an August 3rd PPV that will feature Jose Aldo's latest featherweight title defense, this time against Anthony Pettis. Aldo defended his belt successfully against Frankie Edgar despite Joe Rogan's repeated assertions that Aldo was gasping for air after round 3 and only had 5-10 breaths left in round 5 before he risked collapsing on the floor. Say what you will about Pettis' title shot, this should be a damn good fight.

Lyoto Machida meets Phil Davis in the co-main event while Demian Maia looks to remain undefeated at welterweight as he takes on Josh Koscheck. Thales Leites makes his return to the UFC against Tom Watson while TUF Brazil winner Cezar Mutante fights TUF 17's Clint Hester.

The bout order beyond the top 3 fights is not finalized, but here's what the fight lineup looks like:

Jose Aldo vs. Anthony Pettis
Lyoto Machida vs. Phil Davis
Demian Maia vs. Josh Koscheck
Thales Leites vs. Tom Watson
Cezar Ferreira vs. Clint Hester
Vinny Magalhaes vs. Anthony Perosh
