Antonio 'Bigfoot' Silva invites ex-teammate Thiago Silva to move up to heavyweight to fight him

Heavyweight Antonio "Bigfoot" Silva has called out his ex-teammate Thiago Silva. The smaller man says he'd only do it if Bigfoot can cut down to 205 pounds.

Some post-fight silliness followed the UFC on Fuel 10 event where Thiago Silva KO'd Rafael "Feijao" Cavalcante. Silva's ex-teammate at American Top Team Antonio "Bigfoot" Silva took to twitter to call out his much-smaller namesake.

Asked about it at the post-fight press conference, Thiago Silva replied through an interpreter, "He must be sad because I left American Top Team, but if he wants to fight me he has to come down to 205. That's it."

MMA Fighting handicapped the hypothetical match:

Thiago Silva, who is 6-foot-2 with a 74-inch reach, has spent his entire career competing in the 205-pound weight class.

By comparison, Antonio Silva is 6-foot-4 with an 82-inch reach. He routinely cuts down from over 265 pounds to make the heavyweight limit.

For my part this sounds like the sort of beef that boxing great Larry Holmes would have handled with a dropkick off the roof of a limousine back in the day.
