Cerrone landed a knee to the head coming out of a takedown attempt to start the fight. The first round lacked excitement as Cerrone showed that his striking was better than Noons' "incredible boxing background".
Cerrone landed a takedown early in the last round, but they returned to their feet quickly. KJ really wanted to landed one of his hooks shot from the hip, but Cerrone marked him up every time with straight shots. Noons, just doesn't have the talent to compete with upper-tier LW fights.
In the last round, Cerrone dominated the action from top position. He worked Noon's from half-guard and bloodied him up throughout the round with elbows. Noons was always overmatched here, but Cerrone took the opportunity to show why he's ranked higher.
