After 3 rounds of action, Mike Pyle edged out Rick Story in a split decision.

In the feature bout of the FX prelims of UFC 160, Mike Pyle looked to extend his 3-fight win streak when he met Rick Story in the Octagon.

Story opened early with a takedown. Pyled looked for a straight armbar, but it went nowhere. Pyle looked to isolate an arm, but Story scrambled out and got back on top. They separated and returned to striking before Story landed a big punch that dropped Pyle. Rick tried to follow up and finish, but couldn't get the stop.

Pyle tried to stay outside Story's reach but struggled to hit the counter before getting taken down. Pyle latched on to a kimura, but Story defended. The action slowed to a crawl after that as Story ground out the round.

Pule looked desperate looking or strikes in the final round, but couldn't land anything hard so far out of range. Rick looked very slow in the last round but still managed to secure back control after a takedown. He threw some knees to Pyle's thigh to keep busy and threw the slowest hook when they separated. Mike tried to take advantage but ended up being taken down instead. He took the back with 20 seconds left, but couldn't do enough to finish the fight.
