Are you in favour of redesigning the gloves?

It made the news last week that UFC are designing new gloves in the hope of curtailing the scourge of eye pokes.
The issue is clearly that eye pokes are dangerous to careers and potentially fight stopping on the night.

We actually have started to work on a new glove that actually curves your hand. Like the glove is curved like a U, so you can still open your hand, but your fingers don’t point straight out.” Dana White.

As far as the rules go, a guy can unintentionally end a fight with an accidental eye poke, at any given time after the first, and if he is up on the scorecards, he wins. No one is suggesting that this is a method of victory, but it seems a little unfair in a 3-5 round sport where anything can happen. Imagine if Sonnen had accidently gouged Silva in round 4...

This thread doesnt really need a lengthy preamble, as we are all aware of the problem and the proposed solution. As of yet, i cant find pictures of the new gloves, but the main basis of criticism seems to be worries over how they would affect grappling.

What i want are your opinions.

Are you in favour or against?

New gloves that are "curved like a U"!

... yea or nay people?
