The first bout has been added to UFC on Fox 8 in Seattle on July 27th, and it's in the lightweight division. Melvin Guillard will look to get back in the win column when he faces off with Ultimate Fighter 6 winner Mac Danzig. The UFC tweeted in regards to the the bout earlier today:
Guillard (30-12-2, 1 NC) desperately needs a win to keep his job. The TUF 2 contestant is just 1-4 in his last five bouts and has lost two in a row. He's been caught up in a camp dispute of late, leaving the Blackzillian camp to go back to Jackson's but Jackson's didn't want him back. He's also currently facing assault charges. It'll be interesting to see where he actually trains for this fight.
Danzig (21-10-1) has had a rough go of it over the last four-plus years, going just 3-6 in his last nine bouts. The last was a debated split decision loss to Takanori Gomi at UFC on Fuel 6 in November.
