Antonio Braga Neto vs. Anthony Smith targeted for UFC on Fuel 10

Mark D. Smith-USA TODAY Sports

Brazilian middleweight prospect Antonio Braga Neto reportedly has his first UFC fight set for June 8th in Brazil, as he fights Strikeforce veteran Anthony Smith.

Two days ago we told you about the UFC's signing of Brazilian grappler Antonio Braga Neto. It didn't take long to find Neto an opponent, as Gracie Mag reports that he will fight former Strikeforce fighter Anthony Smith at UFC on Fuel 10 in Brazil:

Braga Neto is 8-1 and holds wins over former and current UFC fighters such as Brock Larson, Maiquel Falcao, and Cezar Ferreira. His Brazilian jiu-jitsu prowess is one of the leading reasons Bloody Elbow named him the #1 middleweight prospect of 2012.

Anthony Smith (17-9) is the latest Strikeforce fighter to make the UFC leap after the promotion closed it doors on January. His last fight was against another world class BJJ black belt in Roger Gracie, with Gracie winning by arm triangle choke. Smith's overall Strikeforce record was 2-2.

UFC on Fuel 10 is set for Fortaleza, Brazil on June 8th. TUF Brazil 2 coaches Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira and Fabricio Werdum headline the card.
