Esther Lin caught some picture of Medeiros' wounded thumb that caused the doctor's stoppage in the FX Prelims feature bout.

Lightweight Rustam Khabilov and Yancy Medeiros took to the Octagon for the feature bout of the FX prelims for UFC 159. After a slow start where the two exchanged missed strikes from range, Khabilov got his arms around Medeiros and proceeded to toss him around like a ragdoll. On the second throw, Medeiros planted his right hand to stop the fall, but misplaced his thumb which bent awkwardly and painfully. After a look from the ringside physician and immediate swelling, the fight was called due to the dislocated thumb. Check out these pics from Esther Lin of MMA Fighting of the wounded digit.
