UFC On Fox 7 opened with with a Welterweight tilt between BE's 2012 fighter of the year Matt Brown and Strikeforce transferee Jordan Mein. Mein came into the fight with a lot of hype as a young fighter with a ton of experience. Unfortunately, he couldn't deal with Brown's relentless toughness and gave up the TKO in the second round.

If you were expecting a wild slugfest in this fight, you weren't disappointed for a second. Both men came out throwing everything they had and both men got hurt badly in the first round. late in the round Mein dropped brown with a body shot and followed him to the mat. Brown threw up a triangle attempt, but Mein was able to escape and they finished the round swinging.

Neither man took his foot off the gas heading into the second either, but it was Brown who came out on top. He caught Jordan with a straight right, then blasted him with knees from the clinch. Jordan fell to his knees and Brown battered him to get the finish.

Matt Brown TKOs Jordan Mein at 1:00 of Round 2.

Brown was riding a 4-fight win streak coming into the fight, topped off by a KO win over Mike Swick back in December. Mein was on a 3-fight streak of his own, and had only lost once in his last ten fights.
